Every house hold now does have a PC. But possibly the most in demand of all the peripherals after a keyboard and mouse is a printer. The printer as stated gives hard copies of your work which you can carry along and present or submits your work in hard prints. If your printer has ever come across certain problems, then you will know that though the printer may be cheap but they end up becoming a costly affair if they are to be repaired. Well if you have ever opened your printer you will be surprised how many parts are in it and the tendency of each to cause a problem.
The most common problem is with the print head. It gets clogged very easily. The problem can be solved with if you just clean it. But that is the most difficult thing to do, because the nozzles have a bore size which is almost minuscule. The printer’s software does aid the user. User can make use of self-cleaning control in the printers help.
If this doesn’t work, then you will have to clean the print head manually. To do that you will have remove the print head and wipe it with alcohol. You will have to clean it carefully. Do not touch the print head or the contact points after cleaning them. If the cleaning does not help, then change the print head. The better side of having a cheap printer or rather an inkjet type of printer is that they have replaceable cartridges. These cartridges come with print heads. So you can replace the cartridges easily. It is cost-effective.
If the print head is not the problem then another reason is faulty power cord. Another failure point is the power cord. To check if the powers cord is really the reason of print failure. First is turn off the power switch (electricity source). Now disconnect the power cord and check for cuts or bends or any tampering signs. The power cords at times are can be faulty internally. So for that you will have to check if the cable is conducting power properly. For that you will have to use a tester. You can even check if the socket is functional. If that is problematic, then call the electric experts.
If you are getting too blotted prints or getting paper jams more often. Then there are other issues. There is a sponge provided in the inkjet to absorb extra ink that comes out of the print head. If the sponge is full then it can cause the blotting. For paper jams you will have to clean the rollers with alcohol neatly. But to do all the above, it can be very time consuming and tedious. Then what should you do, is call the expert.
