Their display resolution is said to be up to 1920 x 1080 pixels. The capacity of low-end model can be 750 GB (HDD) or 256 GB (SSD), while the highest - 1280 GB (HDD) or 256 GB (SSD). It is also significant mentioning that the dynamics of JBL, DVD or Blue-ray, ports USB 3.0, and an optional 3D display for the XPS 17 model, are available along with the normal version too.
Dell has also introduced a server, which can accommodate up to 96 CPU cores. This can be a big boost in field of computational power, which is provided by its hardware. It is also heard that Dell is purchasing security services vendor Secure Works to expand its range of IT management aid. Its strategy aims at addressing the needs of both the end users and IT. This will be by using virtualization technologies and client-server computing. This will help in improving data security, manageability, disaster recovery and compliance.
On the other hand, Toshiba has outsourced the manufacturing of the system chips to its rival company Samsung as reported by sources. The company is favoring of conservation of resources for its specialty of manufacturing memory devices. Even after this, Toshiba manages to climb to a higher position to compete with biggies like Intel and Samsung. But, this decision may prove to be a debacle for the company.
The grey between Dell and HP, Lenovo has surprisingly crept on to the top position in the activity market in the last quarter. Insiders say that Lenovo was in between number 2, 3 and 4 positions.
